We don’t usually think of the minibus taxi industry as being safety-minded, mainly due to our observations of how many of their drivers behave on the roads. The Western Cape branch of the South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) has launched a comprehensive road safety campaign under the banner “Your Safety, Our Priority”,  which aims to promote safer driving practices, reduce road accidents, and protect the lives of passengers, drivers, and pedestrians during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
