Nova Moto founder Karen Delport joined John Maytham after being named a finalist in this year’s Nedbank Business Ignite with CapeTalk competition. Karen shared how her experience in logistics and e-commerce led her to launch a business focused on reducing transport costs for delivery riders and fleet operators through electric motorcycles and scooters assembled in South Africa. She discussed the growing demand for electric mobility, the challenges of building local manufacturing capacity, and how winning the competition would help accelerate the company's growth. Business expert Thuli Magubane, founder and director of MintFresh Technology Solutions, explained why Nova Moto stood out as a finalist, highlighting its innovative approach to solving a real-world business challenge while supporting more affordable and sustainable last-mile delivery.
