Residents of Grassy Park raised concerns this week after the documentary Rules of the Underworld was filmed at the Grassy Park Hotel. While some didn’t see the filming, many definitely heard it, as it included the use of blank gunshots, following a noise exemption approved by the City of Cape Town. To discuss the community response and the City of Cape Town’s role in granting this exemption, Donovan Nelson, the ward councillor for Grassy Park, Ward 65, speaks to Lester Kiewit. Lester then received a call from Deryck Broom, the director of the documentary.
