A protest has been organised to take place on Heritage Day, objecting to actions taken by a local restaurant (Brass Bell) whereby a wooden deck has been built over a kiddie’s tidal pool. Protest organiser Margie Pretorius says the restaurant has been steadily encroaching on public land over the years, but the restaurant’s management argues that the space was seldom used by the public and that the land has been leased from PRASA.
