Lester Kiewit speaks to comedian and media personality Pieter-Dirk Uys, one of the headline acts at this year’s Voorkamerfest in Darling. The festival, taking place on 18 and 19 October, turns the town’s living rooms into intimate theatres, with festival-goers travelling by minibus to three surprise venues. Featuring more than 60 performers across 21 shows—from satire and storytelling to jazz, opera, hip-hop and dance—the event captures the magic of community and creativity in equal measure.
