In November last year, Distell, through their Agri-Gator empowerment initiative and in collaboration with Mi-Crop Holdings, set up an aquaponic farm and greenhouse at Nederburg in Paarl, where they are producing pesticide-free rainbow trout, herbs and exotic salad crops for their own restaurant as well as  those in the area.
