Are you aware that driving with hazard lights on (in non-emergencies) is illegal under Regulation 198 of the National Road Traffic Act (NRTA)? The law explicitly states that hazards can only be used when a vehicle is stationary in a hazardous position or moving in a genuine emergency. This means that even when there is mist or thick fog reducing visibility, one may not engage the hazard lights in a bid to be more visible to other road users.
