City safety measures in place for busy tourist season

While South African home and business owners have been turning towards solar power in a bid to move away from rising electricity costs, some have been deterred from doing so due to concerns over solar panel theft. While the phenomenon isn’t entirely new, the crime has evolved over the last few years and additional precautions have been devised to counter the problem. Solar panel theft still a reality and deterring uptake of solar power

The Pedal Power Association completed a memorial ride to pay tribute to the cyclists who have been killed on our roads, with Landon       La Grange being the most recent. The ride was also arranged to bring awareness of the need for motorists to be aware of cyclists on the road and for cyclists to also practice safer riding habits such as being in single file. John Maytham spoke to Neil Robinson, CEO of the Pedal Power Association.
