Health Island, founded by business owner Philip Rubin and a finalist in the Cape Talk Nedbank Business Ignite competition, is a one-stop shop for healthy grab-and-go snacks. The business supplies customers nationally through vending machines, bulk office deliveries on standing orders, and curated hampers for staff appreciation, wellness days, and events. Sourcing from a wide range of local suppliers, Health Island has also expanded into a wholesale model, servicing canteens and catering companies across South Africa. Lester Kiewit chats to Philip about the journey and growth of the business.
