Wendy Abrahams from the Advance Edukos Foundation spoke to Lester Kiewit about their renewed appeal to secure 150 pairs of rain boots for children in need ahead of the winter rains. The foundation, which received an outpouring of support from Cape Talk listeners last year that allowed them to extend their reach beyond their initial target, is once again calling on the public to help keep children’s feet warm and dry in challenging conditions. Wendy says the boots would make a practical difference to learners who have to navigate wet and cold school days.
