He argues that weakened animal immune systems, intensive farming practices, and poor cattle husbandry lie at the heart of the crisis, rather than a lack of pharmaceutical intervention. McIntosh also outlines the alternative farming methods he uses, the precautions on his own farms, and why he believes healthy, well-managed cattle are more resilient to disease.
