On this episode of Butternomics, our host, Brandon Butler, talks with Zachary "Big Zak" Wallace, the songwriter and voice of Greg Street's V-103 intro who now holds an equity position in a 10-15 year concessions package at Hartsfield-Jackson. Zak breaks down how Local Green evolved from a Vine City restaurant into an airport concessionaire, and how a Dream Team of local partners puts together a winning airport bid in a city where relationships decide who gets the call. He tells the story of the barbershop plug that connected T.I. with DJ Toomp, and the Napa Valley conversation with Jeezy that turned into a sold-out black-tie night with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. That night is now the foundation for Culture Classics and its partnership with the Black Orchestral Network. And when Brandon asks how someone earns a seat at Atlanta's table, Zak gives his only cheat sheet: service.
