Starting as a copy boy back at the Herald and Weekly times in 1977, Mr Blunden went on to hold senior editorial positions at News Corp Australia, overseeing several of Australia’s biggest newspapers including The Australian, the Herald Sun and the Adelaide Advertiser.
Mr Blunden was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours for significant service to journalism, particularly through print media, and to the community.
