Zimbabwe has been ranked as the most corrupt country in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) in 2024, according to the latest Transparency International data, placing it just ahead of the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo.
This marks the country's worst performance since 2015, the year it recorded the same score amid revelations that 15 billion US Dollars in diamond revenues had gone missing. Across Africa, Zimbabwe is among the 10 most corrupt nations, alongside conflict-ridden countries such as Sudan, Somalia, and Libya.
