Zambia's Finance ministry says it will remain in default on payments to regional lenders including the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), until the restructuring process is completed, despite the Cairo-based lender's preferred creditor status. According to Reuters news, the Secretary to the Treasury Felix Nkulukusa, says the Afreximbank loan is not a concessional loan but a commercial therefore it will be restructured.
