As the world marks World Press Freedom Day, the African continent sees increased political pressure and intimidation against journalists. Reporters Without Borders (RSF) says press freedom worldwide is threatened by the people who should be its guarantors. This has been evident recently in Burkina Faso and Sudan where the governments suspended media houses from broadcasting over what they termed divisive reporting. Meanwhile, the South African National Editors' Forum (SANEF) has appealed for the protection of journalists in Gaza. This as 97 journalists and media workers were confirmed dead since the start of the war. For more on this Mabu Boloka spoke to SANEF Executive Director, Reggy Moalusi
