University leaders from around the world, policymakers and civic partners have gathered in Cape Town for the Times Higher Education, World Academic Summit 2026, which is co-hosted by the Universities of Bristol and University of Cape Town.
They are discussing how universities can help shape more equitable, sustainable and prosperous futures. It is held under the theme 'Knowledge, justice and futures: Universities in the age of intelligence', to explore how institutions can harness human, artificial and collective intelligence to address major global challenges.
