Hundreds of Botswana nationals hoping to work in the United Kingdom (UK) now face uncertainty after the British government imposed a visa requirement on the southern African nation.
Recent years have seen a surge of Botswanans moving to the UK, driven by economic challenges at home, including weak diamond sales. In response, London has tightened entry rules to curb the flow of migrants. British High Commissioner to Botswana, Giles Enticknap, confirmed the change yesterday.
