Malawi's Ministry of Trade and Industry has settled the affiliation fees owed to the Federation Internationale de Musicians (FIM) on behalf of the Musicians Union of Malawi (MUM). The General Secretary of MUM, Tonney Chitimatima says the total payment of 1.7 million Malawian Kwacha (980 US Dollars) by the department will significantly alleviate the union's financial burden and enable it to meet its international commitments.
