The price of potatoes in South Africa is expected to increase in the coming months. Low temperatures in the northern parts of the country have caused damage to crops with Black Frost hitting the Limpopo province causing widespread damage to potato plantings and other vegetables such as peppers. It is reported that as much as a quarter of potato plantings in the province were affected. Thami Ngubeni spoke to the Information and Regional Manager at Potatoes SA Ferdinand Coetzee.
