The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) is set to launch a digital platform that will streamline import and export formalities, while enhancing quality assurance and improving compliance enforcement. The digitisation of the MBS will see the cost and time of products by manufacturers and traders reduced significantly. A platform which forms part of the Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity (SATC) Project, funded by the World Bank, is aimed at increasing private sector activity along targeted corridors of Malawi and Mozambique.
