The commissioner of the South African Revenue Services (SARS) Edward Kieswetter has recognized the contribution that the recently retired Chief Justice of the South African constitutional court, Raymond Zondo made to rescue SARS after being one of the state-owned enterprises that was marred by allegations of state capture under the former commissioner Tom Moyane.
The Zondo Commission report into allegations of state capture revealed damning findings of corruption and tax maladministration at SARS under the previous administration headed by Tom Moyane.
