The European Union (EU) has announced that after a five-year suspension, it will resume budgetary support to Ethiopia, unlocking over €140 million in funding. The EU has halted funding to the country following years of instability linked to the Tigray conflict. But with peace not certain, how long will the support last? This announcement comes as International Monetary Fund (IMF) projections show Ethiopia has slipped out of the top five economies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
