The Africa Energy Forum (AEF), which took place in Cape Town, South Africa, over the past two days, is Africa's premier annual event where governments and state utilities address the international energy community on opportunities available in Africa's power and gas sectors. Corporate Banking Director for Absa Bank Zambia, Brian Kalero, says the continent is no longer a passive participant in the global energy transition and that African governments are not just seeking capital- they are designing the frameworks to bank it. The continent's story is no longer just about potential, but about the infrastructure of confidence: regulation, reliability, and readiness. Thami Ngubeni spoke to Brian Kalero, Corporate Banking Director at Absa Bank Zambia.
