Starting in two weeks time, the US government will require visa applicants from Zambia and Malawi to pay bonds

Starting in two weeks time, the United States government will require visa applicants from Zambia and Malawi to pay bonds of up to 15 - thousand dollars for certain tourist and business visas.  According to the State Department,  this under  a new pilot program,  any citizen from these two countries who qualify for a B1/B2 visa will be required to post a bond of  between  5 - thousand US dollars up to 15 - thousand US  dollars  - with the exact amount decided during the visa interview.  Chief Economist AT Antswisa Capital, Miyelani Mkhabela.
