As National Treasury is reviewing their fiscal policy aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, stakeholders from across South Africa will gather to discuss what needs to change and chart a more effective path forward.
Hosted under the True Cost of Alcohol Campaign by the Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance of South Africa and its coalition partners, the gathering will discuss what they call the real cost of alcohol on the health sector, road deaths, violence, injury, mental health challenges and underage drinking.
