South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa says the G20 summit, scheduled to be held in South Africa in November, will proceed without disruption, even if US President Donald Trump ultimately does not attend, insisting that the presidency is too far advanced to be affected by individual absences.
Ramaphosa made the remarks to the media at the end of a three-day tour of the Southeast Asia summit on Monday. His comments come amid continuing tensions between the two countries.
