Despite South Africa's annual consumer price inflation remaining steady at 5.2 per cent in May, with a minimal zero-point-two per cent increase in the monthly consumer price index, many South Africans continue to face challenges in making ends meet.
This persistent inflationary pressure has particularly impacted essential product groups such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, where annual rates have shown little change between April and May.
