The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Willie Aucamp, says the move is aimed at preventing further “decision paralysis” in the sector.


He emphasised that the department has a legal and constitutional responsibility to make timely decisions that support inclusive economic growth, while balancing environmental protection with the country’s development needs.
