Acknowledging the detrimental effects of load shedding on small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) and the extra expenses involved in switching to alternative energy sources, the South African Breweries (SAB) Foundation has teamed up with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) to establish and jointly finance the Township Energy Fund. This initiative aims to offer grant funding to SMMEs in townships, rural areas, and small towns.
