South Africa has taken a significant step towards strengthening its agricultural trade with China. On Friday in Pretoria, the country’s Minister of Agriculture, John Steenhuisen, and the Chinese Ambassador to South Africa, Wu Peng, signed a supplementary phytosanitary agreement aimed at boosting South African citrus exports to the Chinese market.
The new standards are expected to deliver major benefits for both nations.
