Palestine Cola: a new drink hitting African markets

The Black Business Council is calling for a complete ban and blacklisting of McKinsey & Company from South Africa business landscape.

It says those who continue to do business with the consultancy group are indirectly funding state capture.

This comes after the company reached a settlement agreement with South Africa's National Prosecuting Authority to pay more than 61 million US dollars into South Africa's Criminal Assets Recovery Account.

The company has admitted guilt for being involved in unlawful and corrupt conduct involving over 110 million US dollars' worth of contracts awarded by Eskom and Transnet from 2012 to 2016.

Black Business Council chief executive Kganki Matabane spoke to Thami Ngubeni on their call.

The African Unite Borders Bus Trucks Association (AUBBTA) has raised concerns over the protests and violence in Mozambique, which have disrupted the Lebombo border post, a vital trade route.

AUBBTA criticized SADC and Zimbabwe's government for focusing on events like the Azerbaijan climate summit instead of addressing the crisis.

The association called for lasting solutions, including re-elections in Mozambique, rather than temporary border re-openings.

To discuss this further, Thami Ngubeni spoke to AUBBTA Chairperson Mukhwathi Phumudzo.
