South Africa's minister of Agriculture, John Steenhuisen on the sidelines of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, China signed three key market access instruments which include the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), and two protocols for the export of greasy wool and dairy products from South Africa to China. This after the Asian country indicated that it wants to expand market access for African agricultural products, deepen cooperation with Africa in e-commerce and other areas.
