South Africa's first electric minibus taxi model, eKamva, has been launched by a consortium led by GoMetro, at the Smarter Mobility Africa summit currently underway in Midrand north of Johannesburg. The launch of the first electric minibus taxi,  eKamva, marks a significant step towards sustainable and innovative transport solutions in South Africa. Spearheaded by GoMetro and other partners, it aims to transform the minibus taxi sector, which plays a vital role in public transportation. Thami Ngubeni spoke to GoMetro CEO Justin Coetzee.
