South Africa’s unemployment rate rises to 33.6%

South Africa's unemployment rate has risen to 33.6% in the second quarter of the year, up from 32.7% percent in the previous quarter. The latest figures from Statistics South Africa show the number of unemployed people increased by 345-thousand to 8-point-5 million, while employment fell slightly by 16-thousand to 16-point-7 million. The figures highlight continued pressure on the labour market, with more people entering the workforce but struggling to find jobs.Channel Africa's Innocent Semosa has more.
