View descriptionShare

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has reaffirmed that the G20 will proceed with its agenda, regardless of the U.S.'s decision to skip the meeting. Speaking at the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Johannesburg, he emphasized South Africa's commitment to addressing any diplomatic tensions with Washington. He clarified that the absence of the U.S. Secretary of State does not amount to a boycott, as other American representatives are present at the discussions. Thami Ngubeni spoke to Professor Malusi Mncube from the University of Johannesburg
