South Africa (SA) has achieved the top spot in the African region in the 2024 Travel and Tourism Development Index released by the World Economic Forum. This index, now in its second edition, was unveiled recently. South Africa was ranked 55th out of 119 countries, making it the leading nation in Africa for travel and tourism. The report highlights that South Africa boasts the largest Travel and Tourism Economy on the continent.
