As concerns over migration continue to spark debate across the African continent, questions are being raised about the impact of growing anti-immigrant sentiment on regional integration and the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, has called for migration to be viewed through a broader continental lens. He emphasised the need for legal and orderly movement of people, while also addressing the root causes that force many Africans to leave their home countries.
