Kenyan President, William Ruto has ordered the cancellation of a procurement process to award control of the country's main airport to India's Adani Group.
This comes after the founder; Gautam Adani was indicted for fraud by US prosecutors and arrest warrants issued for him and his nephew for their alleged roles in a 265 million US dollars scheme to bribe Indian officials to secure power-supply deals.
Under the proposed deal worth nearly two billion dollars, the Adani Group was to add a second runway at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and upgrade the passenger terminal in exchange for a 30-year lease.
