South Africa's G20 Presidency is termed Africa's G20. As the 2025 G20 Chair, South Africa is set to be well-positioned to champion the priorities of emerging markets and elevate Africa's development agenda within the G20 framework.
In the discussions ahead of this weekend's G20 leaders summit, the President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Chief Fortune Charumbira, has called on parliamentarians across the continent not to be bystanders in tackling pressing global challenges and also called on the continent to be united in order to advance a coordinated platform for continental engagement at the G20 Summit.
