As part of South Africa's 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the Nedbank Group is running a campaign to highlight financial abuse against women. The bank notes that financial abuse is often overlooked, yet features in up to 99% of domestic abuse cases. Nedbank says such abuse can take many forms, including restricting access to bank accounts, withholding income, or sabotaging employment opportunities.
