Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Competition and Consumer Commission has launched an investigation into META following an amendment to WhatsApp's User Agreements, which reportedly limits how other AI chatbots can access WhatsApp's application programming interface (API). The probe comes after a complaint was filed by the competition and consumer advocacy group, AdLegal, and will cover all 21 member states of COMESA.
