The Trump administration has officially nominated Leo Brent Bozell III, a conservative media critic and fierce defender of Israel, to be the United States (US) Ambassador to South Africa (SA).
Bozell, who is still to be confirmed by the Senate, will be coming into the role at a time when relations between SA and the United States are unsavoury. Meanwhile, the country's Department of International Relations says it had not received official notification of US President Donald Trump's decision to nominate Leo Brent Bozell III as the next Ambassador to SA.
