Kenya's Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced an increase in the maximum wholesale and retail prices for petroleum products. A litre of petrol has increased by 70 US cents to one US Dollar, 44 cents, diesel is up by 67 US cents to one dollar - 33 cents, while kerosene increased by 75 US cents to One Dollar, 21 cents per litre. It has been reported that this is the highest increase since September 2023. The increased fuel prices are likely to lead to higher transportation and energy costs across Kenya.
