Tshekedi Khama, the brother to Botswana's former president, Ian Khama has called on the incoming Botswana leaders to prioritise the plight of the people over self-serving to advance the will of the electorate.

As a former minister of environmental conservation, natural resources and Tourism Khama says that in the last five years, Botswana's economy has performed badly.

Khama spoke to Channel Africa's reporter Micheal Mbewe outside the offices of Botswana High Commission in South Africa's capital of Pretoria on Saturday where he was among other Batswana's in the diaspora casting their votes ahead of the general elections on the 30th of October.
