According to the International Labour Organization, Africa's continental average unemployment rate stands between 7% and 9%. The ripple effects of unemployment go far beyond the loss of an income, it affects family provision, mental health and the economy among many other things. Experts say one of the ways to address the continent's unemployment is through bridging the skills gap. Recruitment agencies such as InspHIRED, which operates across Africa, including in South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo, have tailored their offering to make their clients more attractive to the job market.
