Nedbank hosted the fourth annual Green Economy Indaba and Green Economy Awards, bringing together government, funders, business leaders and entrepreneurs to showcase practical solutions for South Africa's green transition.

One of the standout moments was a Dragons' Den-style pitch competition, where young entrepreneurs from the water, waste, agriculture and energy sectors competed for a share of R710 000 in funding and business support.

The competition highlighted how innovative local businesses are turning environmental challenges into scalable commercial opportunities while creating jobs and supporting economic growth.
