2026 Mining Indaba gets underway in South Africa against a backdrop of rising demand for energy‑transition minerals

The Women Economic Assembly (WECONA), in partnership with the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEFA), will tomorrow host its inaugural event on the sidelines of the Mining Indaba in the Western Cape, South Africa. The event, themed “She Mines the Future: From Pit to Port,” will bring together key stakeholders committed to advancing women’s participation across the entire mining value chain.
