Global Survey shows support for fossil fuel tax to fund climate damage

View descriptionShare

A new global survey reveals that most people support taxing oil, gas, and coal companies to fund climate-related loss and damage. The study also shows widespread concern that governments aren't doing enough to curb the influence of the ultra-wealthy and polluting industries in politics. Commissioned by Greenpeace International and Oxfam, the survey was released during the United Nations climate talks in Bonn last week.  Thami Ngubeni spoke to Ashfaq Khalfan, Director of Climate Justice in Oxfam America.
