It has been reported that the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) says Kenya's Integrated Financial Management Information System (Ifmis) is vulnerable to manipulation and hacking, leading to loss of billions of shillings of taxpayer money.
Kenyan authorities use the IFMIS system to monitor the country's finances with functionalities such as budgeting, procurement, payment, accounting, and reporting.
